We are very thankful for the continued grace, patience, and compassion shared with the Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family.
We recognize this is an uneasy time for many with new restrictions and the transition coming to off-site learning (scenario #3) for our grade 7-12 students. We also recognize that for our staff at Father Mercredi and Holy Trinity High Schools, there is a great deal of effort and planning which occurs when switching from in person classroom instruction to off-site instruction.
Schedule for off-site learning
- Friday, November 27th and Monday November 30th will now become PLF days for grades 7-12 ONLY to allow our staff to prepare for the transition to off-site learning.
- Holy Trinity and Father Mercredi High School will be closed for in person instruction on Friday, November 27th. (exception- specialized programs)
- The beginning of off-site learning for our grade 7-12 students will be on Tuesday, December 1st. (in turn Friday December 4th and Friday January 8th will now be instructional days for grades 7-12)

Please be assured we will continue to work closely with Alberta Health Services to ensure we follow their ongoing recommendations as we transition to off-site learning for grades 7-12.
We continue to remind families to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 using the Alberta Health Screening Questionnaire. Please remember to complete the checklist each day. If you or a member of your family has any of the symptoms of illness listed, please fill out the online Alberta Health Services COVID-19 self-assessment or call Health Link at 811.
Thank you for your continued support.
