Good afternoon,
We reach out to our entire Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family today as we all prepare for our return from Easter Break on April 12, 2021.
We have all seen the exponential increase in COVID-19 cases in the Fort McMurray region before and during Easter Break. We know we have asked for your grace, patience, and compassion for over a year now- but now we may need it more than ever.
Before the break we had to make the decision to move grades 10-12 at Father Mercredi and Holy Trinity High Schools to virtual learning for a week. Decisions like this are something we do not take lightly. This decision was made due to the high number of staff isolating because of cases in our community. Safety will always be our first priority.
As cases continue to rise in our region, unfortunately these are decisions that we may have to make again. In the event this does occur we will endeavour to notify families as quickly as possible via email, text message, and on social media. Please make sure your contact information is up to date with your school.
We would also like to reshare some important information with you including updated isolation protocols the Alberta Government revised this week:

Please wash your hands, wear a mask, and physically distance when possible. With increased vigilance- together we can have a strong finish to the 2021/22 school year.
We look forward to seeing you all again next week in school.
