The Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education elected Trustee Cathie Langmead to the role of Board Chair. Trustee Anthony Hoffman has been elected to the role of Vice Chair.
Chair Cathie Langmead she’s looking forward to the challenge, “One of our priorities for 2019/2020 involves rolling out our strategic plan for the next three years. This is a direct result of an internal evaluation done last year, and we are excited to share our strategic direction with everyone involved in ensuring the success of our students. Given the current political climate, another priority is ensuring that we continue to advocate effectively for the children we serve. I am most looking forward to continuing our conversations with students, parents, teachers, administration, community partners and various stakeholders. We want to ensure that we, as a Board, are serving each and every student in Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family to the very best of our ability.”
Fort McMurray Catholic Schools Superintendent George McGuigan is pleased to be working with a great team again this school year, “Congratulations to Chair Cathie Langmead and Vice Chair Anthony Hoffman on their roles for this school year.
